How many guests can we have?

Our space is most comfortable with 60-120 guests. 120 guests is our maximum capacity.

What is needed to reserve our date?

A non-refundable 25% deposit is required at the time of signing the contract. Both the deposit and the signed contract must be received in order to reserve your date.

When can we have access to the venue? and When we have to take down decorations and clean up?

At Silver Sage Stables we only host one event a weekend. This means that you have access to the space Friday-Sunday. 

Is there a space for the bridal party to get ready?

No, there is no space for the bridal party to get ready. We do have a parlour room that is perfect for pre and post ceremony touch ups. 

Is there permanent lighting in the space?

Yes, the rafters of the barn have string lighting. Additionally there are 4 chandeliers hung throughout the space.

Can we have our ceremony rehearsal at the venue?

Yes, you are welcome to hold your rehearsal at the venue on at a time arranged by yourselves and Silver Sage Stables. The max guest count for rehearsal dinner is 30 guests. 

Do we have to turn off the music at a certain time?

Silver Sage Stables is a private property therefore must follow noise bylaws set by the City of Coldstream. This bylaw states that music and any amplified sound must be turned off at 11:00pm.

When do our guests have to leave the venue?

Guest must leave the venue by 12am. We ask that you respect the noise bylaws after 11:00pm. However, overnight camping is not permitted. We recommend booking a shuttle service to ensure that your guests arrive safety back to their hotels. 

Do you have an AV system?

No, at this time we do not have an AV system. For information on local rentals and DJ’s we would be happy to help.

Can we serve alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to serve alcohol for you and your guests.
You must arrange for service of alcohol under BCLBC laws.
You are responsible for acquiring a Special Occasions License and ensuring that bartenders have a Serving it Right registration number

Are we responsible for third party liability?

Yes, you are responsible for obtaining a Special Events Liability Policy. If you have questions about how to obtain this policy we would be happy to help.

What is your cancelation policy?

Cancelations made prior to 60 days of the rental period will be returned to the guest in full, less the 25% non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the rental period will forfeit the full payment of your chosen rental package.

Do you have a damage deposit?

Yes, there is a $1000 damage deposit that shall be held by Silver Sage Stables to repair any damage caused by guests, to hire cleaning services, or to replace any missing inventory.

Is there parking for our guests?

Yes, there is ample parking for your guests out of eye site from the main event venue.

Do you have a kitchen? and can we bring our own caterer?

Yes, we have a dispensary kitchen for your caterer. They must prepare your food in their own commercial kitchen or bring a portable kitchen with them. We do have a freezer for ice as well as a fridge for your desserts. 

You are welcome to bring your own caterer. For a list of our preferred caterers we would be happy to help.

Can we have candles?

Yes, as long as they are enclosed in glass and not next to flammable objects such as wood or hay bails.

Do you have tables and chairs?

No, at this time we do not have tables and chairs. We do however provide bench seating for your ceremony. For information about local rental companies we would be happy to help.

Can we bring our pets onto the property? 

At Silver Sage Stables we have animals of our own. In order to protect our furry friends no pets or animals are permitted within the venue without express consent.

Do you require a wedding planner?

  • Yes, all weddings require to hire, at minimum, a professional wedding planner for day of coordination.
